COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – David Haynes, who was recently elected as chairperson of USA Archery’s Board of Directors, has resigned from the Independent Director seat as well as the chair position for personal reasons.

The Nominating and Governance Committee, which conducts the search for Independent Directors, will begin the search for a new Independent Director immediately.

Belinda Foxworth, who currently serves as an Independent Director, has been elected by the Board of Directors as its new chairperson. Foxworth has served on the Board for over six years, and has chaired the organization’s Audit Committee.

Professionally, Foxworth brings a wealth of experience to the position, serving as Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel to Next Generation Energy Logistics, LLC in New York City. Previously, Foxworth was a Senior Vice President and General Counsel at SPI Petroleum, LLC.

“Belinda has been an outstanding Board member,” commented Denise Parker, USA Archery CEO. “She understands the sport and its dynamics, and the critical growth phase we’re facing as an organization. Belinda brings so much to archery and to our Board. I’m very excited to see her in this position.”

Foxworth will attend the organization’s Annual Meeting, along with the CEO and other Board members. The Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, at the Courtyard Hamilton in Hamilton, Ohio.
