The U.S. Paralympics Boccia Classification Policies and Procedures fall under the U.S. Paralympics national classification strategy. The classification procedures, which can be downloaded on the right, cover sport-specific classification information including classifier prerequisites, current classifiers and their authorization levels, classification panel composition for the sport, and any sport criteria for athletes who present for classification assessment.

The U.S. Paralympics Boccia national classification database includes all athletes in the respective sport whose classification information is on file with either the International Paralympic Committee, the respective sport International Federation and/or U.S. Paralympics (the National Paralympic Committee for the United States). Athletes who have been nationally or internationally classified as per the code and/or the U.S. Paralympics Classification Policies and Procedures are automatically included in the database. Information will be updated regularly and historical research to compile accurate athlete classification data is still ongoing.

While classification of U.S. Paralympic-eligible athletes is overseen by U.S. Paralympics, a division of the United States Olympic Committee, the U.S. Paralympic Boccia Team and the day-to-day operations of high performance program are overseen by BlazeSports of America, the High Performance Management Organization for boccia in the United States. Click here for the USA Boccia website.
