Olympic Sports Scene for September 7

Mountain biker Willow Koerber headlines this week after her bronze-medal performance at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Mount Saint Anne, Quebec, Canada.

USA Gymnastics dominated the 2010 Pan American Championships in Guadalajara,Mexico, as both the men and women's squads took home the overall team titles at the event. By virtue of their wins, the teams have also qualified for the 2011 Pan American Games.

The United States also had a strong showing at the 2010 ITU Duathlon World Championships,especially in the paralympic division. All three United States paraduathletes reached the podium in the event held in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The USA Men's Basketball World Championship team moved on in the medal round after a convincing victory over Angola. The team now sits at 6-0 and will face Russia on September 9 in the quarterfinals.
