Crosby's Olympic stick, glove found
March 10, 2010
TORONTO(AP) Sidney Crosby's missing Olympic stick and glove have been found.
Hockey Canada said Wednesday that Crosby's missing equipment was misplaced rather than stolen after the frenzy following Crosby's overtime goal against the United States in the gold-medal game on Feb. 28.
Crosby's stick was accidentally placed in a shipment bound for the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame in St. Petersburg, Russia. It ended up getting intercepted in Toronto.
One of his gloves was put in a bag belonging to Patrice Bergeron, who sat beside him in the locker room.
After the gear went missing, Reebok put up a $10,000 reward for the stick.
Crosby announced Wednesday that he'll donate the $20,000 bonus he received for winning the gold to his foundation.
