U.S. Olympic Training Sites Boast 46 Athletes on 2010 U.S. Olympic Team

USOC February 05, 2010

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) has partnered with world-class, elite athlete training facilities across the nation to help America's Olympians, Paralympians and hopefuls receive the best athletic training services possible. Of the 10 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Sites, two facilities hosted and trained 46 members of the current 2010 U.S. Olympic Team heading to Vancouver.

With more than 1,000 U.S. national team athletes training at these facilities, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Sites, in partnership with 15 National Governing Bodies, provided a financial investment in 2008 of $6.2 million, which represents facility, operating, staffing, equipment and athlete training costs.
