Who's America's Office Champion?

USOC December 09, 2009

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - As the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games approach, Adecco Group North America is on a quest to find, celebrate and reward America's Office Champions: the talented, dedicated, supportive and motivational people who represent the superstars of the workplace.

From now until December 22, Adecco is looking for the best employees from all industries and skill levels across the United States who represent true office champions - whether it be the person who can always fix the broken copy machine or the co-worker who landed the big deal. To nominate your Office Champion, submit a 1 minute video about him/her to MyOfficeChampion.com describing why he/she should be America's Office Champion. The selected winner will receive a trip for two to see Team USA compete in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, including hotel accommodations, airfare and two tickets to the Opening Ceremony.

"America's everyday workers are the true champions of this country," said Joanie Ruge, senior vice president, Adecco Group North America. "We all know so many people who truly are workplace champions in everything they do and also know the importance of thanking and recognizing the people who go above and beyond the call of duty everyday to get the job done. By being a proud sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Committee and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams, we've made a commitment to cheering on Team USA, and now we look forward to supporting America's office champions."

"You don't have to be an Olympian to be a champion," said Lisa Baird, USOC Chief Marketing Officer.  "The values of Olympic champions are within us all - supreme dedication to goals, passion for work and a lasting commitment to a mission.  The U.S. Olympic Committee is proud to partner with Adecco in finding the people who not only possess these values, but act on them everyday in their own respective workplaces - America's office champions."

The grand prize winner will receive a trip to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games and will be recognized at a special event at the USA House, and the nominator will receive a $500 gift card. Silver and bronze winners will each receive a digital camcorder.
