UNITED STATES OLYMPIC COMMITTEE

APPLICATION OF USA PENTATHLON, INC.

In accordance with Section 8.18 of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) Bylaws and Section 220521 (b) of the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act, this serves as notice for a public hearing scheduled for 3:00 p.m. MDT on Friday, May 1, 2009 to discuss USA Pentathlon, Inc.  Currently recognized by the USOC with probationary Olympic Sport Organization/National Governing Body (NGB) status, the USOC seeks to gain feedback on the progress of USA Pentathlon as it pertains to its responsibilities as the NGB for the sport of modern pentathlon.  This will be the second of two (2) public hearings that will be used to gather information to help the USOC Board of Directors determine the future status of USA Pentathlon, Inc.
