USOC/Modern Pentathlon Proposed Timeline and Transition Plan

2007-2008

The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for membership within the USOC as the new Olympic Sport Organization for the sport of modern pentathlon. Pursuant to Article X, Section 10.15 of the USOC Bylaws, application shall be made in writing to the CEO and shall be of sufficient detail to demonstrate that the applicant meets the criteria for membership as an Olympic Sports Organization. Criteria for membership as an Olympic Sport Organization, including Olympic Sport Organization responsibilities, can be found in the USOC Bylaws, Article X, Section 10.5 and Article XVII, and in the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act in Sections 220522 - 220525.
