UNITED STATES OLYMPIC COMMITTEE 

PROVISIONAL NGB STATUS OF USA PENTATHLON, INC. 

In accordance with Section 8.18 of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) Bylaws and Section 220521 (b) of the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act, this serves as notice for a public hearing scheduled from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., MST on Thursday, December 17, 2009 to discuss USA Pentathlon, Inc.  Currently recognized by the USOC with provisional Olympic Sport Organization/National Governing Body (NGB) status, the USOC seeks to gain feedback on the progress of USA Pentathlon as it pertains to its responsibilities as the NGB for the sport of modern pentathlon.  This public hearing will be used to gather information to help the USOC Board of Directors determine the future status of USA Pentathlon, Inc.
