In 2013, the United States Olympic Committee launched Team USA Endurance, a fundraising platform that gives a team of amateur athletes the unique opportunity to not only support Team USA, but to be a part of Team USA. For its first race, Team USA Endurance has joined the 2013 ING New York City Marathon taking place Nov. 3, 2013, as an Official Charity Partner.
Team USA Endurance athletes will represent Team USA on the exciting 26.2 mile course through the five boroughs of New York. They will take on the ultimate running challenge in order to raise awareness and donations to support U.S. Olympians, Paralympians and hopefuls through the USOC, a non-profit organization that receives no government funding for Olympic programs.
Of course, being a part of Team USA does come with benefits. The world’s most successful Olympic team is behind these athletes, supporting them all the way to ensure they have a successful fundraising campaign and perform at their best on race day. All Team USA Endurance athletes receive:
- Access to U.S. Olympians and Paralympians for advice and support
- Exclusive Team USA Olympic apparel and equipment
- Health and training tips from Olympic and Paralympic experts, and so much more
All funds raised by Team USA Endurance will go directly to support America’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes as they prepare for the Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and help pave the way for the next generation of elite American athletes.
Limited spaces are still available for the 2013 team, but they won’t last long. Click here to learn more about becoming part of Team USA Endurance.
