Join Us In Rio

AUGUST 5-21, 2016
The 2016 Olympic Games will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil — one of the most stunning settings in the world and the perfect location for South America's first Olympic Games. Sitting on the southern shore of the magnificent Guanabara Bay, Rio is the most visited city in the southern hemisphere and is known for its breathtaking landmarks and amazing landscapes.

RIO 2016 HIGHLIGHTS
Spectators at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio will be able to see athletic competition in one of the world's most iconic locations — Copacabana Beach. Watching a sport like Beach Volleyball will never be the same!

The 2016 Games in Rio mark the return of two sports played at Olympic Games of the past — Golf and Rugby.

A new high-capacity Transportation Ring will be built in an effort to connect the four primary Game Zones, Deodoro, Barra, Maracanã and Copacabana. This will allow for relative ease when travelling between venues.

The Olympic Champions Fund

Our nation stands apart from others because the U.S. Olympic Team is not just cheered for by an enthusiastic national fan base, they are also funded by one. Team USA proudly receives much of its funds for training, competition and sport development programs from Americans like you—Americans who believe in the Olympic Movement and in Olympic values who understand the power of sport to change lives, break down barriers and to bring nations together in peace.

Today we invite you to share the values of the Olympic Movement with your friends, family and children by joining the Olympic Champions Fund.
