What does it mean for you to represent the United States in softball?
"It means a lot knowing I get to wear the red, white and blue. Representing your country is a different feeling than any high school or local team. It means so much more. How many kids at our age get to do something like this in their entire lives? Not too many and I have the luck to be able to do it twice. I have so much pride in our team and I expect a lot out of them. What it all really boils down to is complete and utter joy at being a part of such a great team."

What do you enjoy most about softball?
"I love just being a part of the game. Hearing the ball whiz out of the pitcher's hand and then the smack as it hits the catcher's mitt. I love the solid thump of a hard hit and the feel of it even more. I love the atmosphere of competition the game brings with it everywhere it goes. I love the thrill of victory and the camaraderie of the team. I love the sound of the crowd as it cheers you on. I love how the game will humble you no matter how great you are. I enjoy every aspect of the game, good and bad."

How did you get started in softball?
"It all started for me as a bat boy for my father's team when I was eight years old. By the time I was 13, I started to pinch run for guys and eventually I wad given the chance to play and now here I am 11 years after my start, playing on the Junior Men's National Team."
