Bobsled/Skeleton - January Open Training - January 2 - February 9, 2012
The US Bobsled & Skeleton Development Athletes will return to Lake Placid after the holiday break to continue their education/development of their respective discipline. You can watch these athletes as they slide down the combined track at Mt. Van Hovenberg. For more information please call (518) 523-4436.
Rhythmic Gymnastics - National Team Camp - January 24 - 29, 2012
The US National Team will return to Lake Placid for some in season training. Athletes will travel from all over the country for a week of training in our gymnasium. Athletes practice their routies with the ball, hoop and ribbon.

Empire State Games - Adaptive Skiing Camp/Comp - February 1 - 6, 2012
Athletes and military veterans will come to Lake Placid for the second annual Adaptive Ski Camp/Competition being held in conjunction with the Empire State Winter Games. Adaptive athletes will have a camp in Adaptive Cross Country Skiing and Adaptive Biathlon and will have a chance to compete after the camp. The camp and competition are scheduled to occur at Mt. Van Hovenberg. Adaptive Alpine athletes will make their trip to Lake Placid to participate in races at Whiteface Mountain.
Bobsled/Skeleton - World Championships - February 9 - 27, 2012
Bobsled & Skeleton World Championships return to Lake Placid for the first time since 2009 when US Olympian Steve Holcomb won a World Championship Gold Medal on his home track before winning a Gold Medal at the Vancouver Olympics one year later.
