Chief Financial Officer

Morane Kerek was promoted to chief financial officer of the United States Olympic Committee in January of 2016. Kerek has been with the USOC for nearly nine years, spending the first six years as controller, and the past three as managing director of internal audit on the executive team.

In her current role, Kerek is tasked with the overall management and supervision of the organization’s financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, risk management, mail services, purchasing and warehousing operations, travel services, audit and USOC retirement plan administration.

Kerek joined the USOC after serving as vice president of finance for sports, entertainment and media at IMG. Kerek oversaw budgeting, forecasting and new business evaluations for the tennis division. In her role, she devised and implemented cost reduction initiatives, and introduced new forecasting procedures to increase accuracy and improve communication.

In addition to the tennis division’s budgetary oversight, Kerek also contributed to the financial goals of various divisions at IMG during her tenure. For the consulting division, she assisted with new growth strategies as the division moved from handling individual projects to being the sponsorship agency of record for clients. While monitoring the soccer division’s budgetary goals from 2002-2004, the division met budget for the first time in five years under Kerek’s leadership. Kerek also served as controller for TWI – the sport television production arm of IMG and the company’s largest division at the time – from 1999-2001. In that role, she was responsible for the quarterly closing, financial statements, intercompany accounts and cash flow forecasts, which averaged $75 million. She also served as liaison for the year-end audit.

Kerek joined IMG in 1996 as a client accountant after beginning her career at the Chicago office of Ernst & Young, LLC in 1993.

Kerek is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. She is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
