Athletes sought for popular Austrian FILA Junior Greco Open and training camp

The Austrian FILA Junior Greco-Roman Open will take place in Gotzis, Austria from March 1 though March 8, 2014. USA Wrestling is seeking talented and motivated Greco-Roman wrestlers, who wish to attend this popular international competition plus training tour.

The international training camp will be March 1-6, 2014 and the tournament will take place March 7-8, 2014.

FILA Junior wrestlers must be born between 1994-1997; you must be a current USA Wrestling Member.

Athletes must also be a past Asics/Vaughan Cadet & Junior Greco-Roman All-American or Greco-Roman State Champion.

The number of spaces available is limited to 15. Countries currently entered in the tournament are France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, Australia and the USA.

The cost of the trip is $1,510 which includes airfare from Chicago, $1000; room and board—$5 a night at the hostel for seven nights—$315; FILA license, $125; entry fee, $20; and bus fare from the airport, $50.

The deadline for application and payment is February 7, 2014.
