BELGRADE, Serbia – Chris Brown of Boyds, Md. won a gold medal at 85 kg in Div. E, one of three U.S. Greco-Roman medalists at the Veterans World Championships on Friday.
Brown was dominant in going 3-0 in the tournament. He opened with a 48 second pin over Don Pavel of Kazakshtan in the quarterfinals, then stopped Shaban Divslar of Iran, 11-3. In the finals, he scored a second-period pin over Marko Sarcanski of Serbia.
