The United States and Russia will square off on the mat once again as the two teams will participate in two freestyle dual matchups next month in New York following the NYAC International and a training camp in Lake Placid, NY.

The first dual matchup between these two traditional wrestling powers will take place Saturday, Nov. 16 at Shenendahowa High School in Clifton Park, New York near Albany.

The dual is set to begin at 3:15 p.m. Eastern time following a youth clinic featuring members of the Penn State University coaching staff including Cael Sanderson, Casey Cunningham, Jake Varner and Quentin Wright.

This event has been dubbed "The Resurrection" in efforts to showcase wrestling's rebirth following the sports reinstatement to the Olympic Games. Journeymen Wrestling is promoting the event.

Ticket prices are $50 to attend both the clinic and the dual and $20 to attend the dual only.

Prior to the dual two-time World Champion and Olympic Champion Jordan Burroughs will be hosting a meet and greet, and a free clinic will be put on starting at 10:00 a.m.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $15 for chair back seating. Tickets can be purchased online at cornellbigredtickets.com.

Coach Jones is excited for the opportunity to continue this great wrestling rivalry between the United States and Russia.

"Russia always brings a good team and often a bright new star they will want to test out against us and technically they are the best country in the world we will face this year" Jones said. "This will be a good gauge of where we are right now."

The lineups for both duals are being finalized and will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
