Today was an extremely special day – I got to ride a steam train, go to a black pudding festival, the Lowry Museum and to me the best thing I’ve done was go to the Manchester United stadium.

I also met Manchester based wrestlers (Jess, Bill, Craig) at Mr. Thomas’s Chop House – one of the oldest Victorian Pubs in Manchester, where we ate dinner. We had a chance to interact and talk about each other’s countries, our sport, training styles. Here's a recap:

Have you ever been to a professional soccer stadium?

I’ve never had the chance to be in a major league soccer stadium – it was huge, it was amazing, I couldn’t imagine what it feels like to play in that stadium.  Got to go into the player’s locker room, see some of their trophies in the museum – the city really embraces the team … it was amazing.

When you walked into the stadium, what was your first reaction?

Our tour guide had us reinact /stimulate what it feels like to be the players running out onto the field.  Had the fans cheering (noise), it was awesome.

Why should others go see the stadium?

Its legacy, its history, it brings life, it brings energy – it’s a must.

What did you think of Manchester?

I feel like I still have more to explore, “I want more”

Why should your friends and family visit Manchester?

Its one of the most unique cities in the world – its legacy, its history, its hospitality

In 3 words, describe Manchester:

Historical, friendly and easy to get around. I can’t wait to visit the people of Manchester again.
