The schedule for the 2010-2011 Ultimate Challenge Series of youth folkstyle wrestling has been set to include 12 USA Wrestling-sanctioned events in 11 states all across the country. Now in its ninth season, the popular series awards points to athletes for placing in premier folkstyle events.

Please note that there have been changes in the division structure as well as the point scoring rules this season.

Wrestlers in eighth grade or lower are eligible to compete, with three divisions determined by age.

Division I birthdate guidelines are January 1, 2001, to December 31, 2002. Division II wrestlers must have been born between January 1, 1999, and December 31, 2000. Finally, Division III entrants must have a birth date between January 1, 1996, and December 31, 1998.

Dominator Belts will be awarded to the top three point earners in each division. Final points are based on each competitor's top five events. Please note that this number has decreased from seven in years past. The title of Ultimate Dominator will be awarded to the one individual who amasses the most points for the year, regardless of division. The Ultimate Dominator is also determined by each competitor's top five events.

Points will be awarded for first through sixth place. Depending upon tournament participation, seventh and eighth places may be awarded as well.

All wrestlers will need to go to the Ultimate Challenge Series website to upload their own points after each event. Sign up, enter points, and view standings at

Point values for first through eighth place are as follows: 1st - 1600, 2nd - 1200, 3rd - 1000, 4th - 900, 5th - 700, 6th - 600, 7th - 400 and 8th - 300. Placers at the ASICS USA Wrestling Folkstyle National Championships will receive double points, with the champions receiving even more points. Those values are: 1st - 4000, 2nd - 2400, 3rd - 2000, 4th - 1800, 5th - 1400, 6th - 1200, 7th - 800 and 8th - 600.
