The registration deadline for this weekend's O'Town Showdown/USAW Middle & Elementary Folkstyle National Championships in Orlando, Fla., has been extended.

Wrestlers now have until 10:00 pm EST on Thursday to sign up at the following link:

All competition will take place on Saturday, November 20. Wrestling begins at 9:00 am.

Medical checks and weigh-ins will be held Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm. A Saturday morning weigh-in is also available from 7:00-7:30 am.

No activities will take place on Thursday, November 18. This is a change from the original schedule.

Age divisions contested will be Elementary (3rd - 5th graders) and Middle School (6th - 8th graders), while the JV Challenge will feature High School wrestlers (9th - 12th graders).

Current registration includes wrestlers from Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York and Wisconsin.

This is the third time USA Wrestling has held this growing youth folkstyle national event in Florida. It's the first time it has been held in November, as well as the first time it has partnered with the O'Town Showdown.

If you are a Florida wrestler and have never had a USA Wrestling membership before, your entry fee will not only enter you into the tournament, but you will also receive a 2010-2011 USA Wrestling membership. All you have to do is indicate that you are a "newbie" during the registration process.
