Grappling World champion Jeff Monson to appear on No Holds Barred with Eddie Goldman
On this edition of No Holds Barred, host Eddie Goldman begins by noting the untimely passing of mixed martial arts fighter Evan Tanner. We also discuss the rescheduling of the Affliction mixed martial arts card and what this says about their marketing, advertising, and pay-per-view strategies. And we comment upon the possible entry into mixed martial arts of boxing promoter Don King.
This coming weekend, September 13-14, the USA Grappling World Team Trials will take place at Sierra College in Rocklin, Calif. This event is organized by USA Wrestling, the national governing body for the sport of wrestling. This is a qualifying event for the 2008 Grappling World Championships, which will be held in Lucerne, Switzerland, December 20-21.
