USA Wrestling Grappling Trials Qualifier set for Olympia Wash on Saturday May 19
The third of four USA Wrestling sanctioned World Team Grappling Qualifying Trials will be held this weekend.
The Team Quest World Team Grappling Qualifying Trials will be held in Olympia, Wash. on Saturday, May 19. This event will be conducted under the new FILA rules for Grappling.
This event has been organized by 2000 Olympic silver medalist Matt Lindland, who is a successful fighter in Mixed Martial Arts. His Team Quest club will be serving as host of the tournament. Dennis Hallman, a former wrestler who is also successful in Grappling and MMA, is serving as event director.

The first two USA Wrestling sanctioned Grappling Qualifiers were held last weekend in Irvine, Calif. and Virginia Beach, Va. Among the athletes who qualified during the weekend with strong wrestling backgrounds include past Greco-Roman Team USA members Kenny Owens and Keith Wilson along with past Women's Team USA member Tori Adams.
Another qualifier from the weekend was Brian Vetell, who competes for the New York Pittbulls of the International Fight League.

The United States Marine Corps U.S. World Team Trials will be hosted at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev., June 8-10 and is hosted by USA Wrestling. This event is the qualifier for the U.S. Grappling World Team which will compete in the World Wrestling Games in Antalya, Turkey on Sept. 7-9.
