Help USA Wrestling secure Pay Per View coverage of the World Championships by taking a survey by Jan

If you can't make it to New York City this year to see the 2003 World Championships of Freestyle Wrestling at Madison Square Garden, the next best thing may be a live broadcast via Pay-Per-View. And time is running out to help determine if there will be Pay-Per-View coverage of this event. This coverage will only be made possible if wrestling fans express interest through a survey administered by USA Wrestling. The deadline to participate in the survey is January 15, 2003. All wrestling fans who want to see the semi-finals and finals in their entirety on Pay-Per-View are asked to answer four simple questions in the survey. In addition, you can help by asking anyone else that might be interested to fill out a survey as well. The results will help USA Wrestling measure the interest in the programming and determine whether or not it can offer this service, given the cost of broadcasting a Pay-Per-View event. The other option for television exposure of the World Championships would be a short tape-delayed highlight show on a cable network. Many wrestling fans have said that they would like to see more coverage and the Pay-Per-View project provides that possibility. "Many other sports and entertainment properties have found success in reaching their niche market through Pay-Per-View," said Dave Bennet, USA Wrestling Director of Broadcasting. "We believe that wrestling fans care enough about their sport to pay a small fee to see the best action in their homes." The World Championships will take place September 12-14 and will feature 500 of the world's best wrestlers from more than 60 countries battling it out at Madison Square Garden for international titles.
