Daton Fix (Sand Springs, Okla./Team USA) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week.

Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.

Fix claimed championships in freestyle and Greco-Roman at the Pan American Cadet Championships this past weekend in Recife, Brazil.

He won a pair of titles at 54 kg/119 lbs. in leading the U.S. to the team title in both styles.

Fix was awarded the Golden Wrestling Shoe upon being named Outstanding Wrestler of the freestyle tournament. He won all four of his bouts by technical fall in outscoring his opponents by a combined 42-1 total.

Fix won a USA Wrestling Cadet Triple Crown in 2013 after earning Cadet Nationals titles in folkstyle, Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling.
