Jordan Burroughs (Lincoln, Neb./Sunkist Kids) has been named Wrestler of the Week.

Each week, will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.

Burroughs scored two takedowns in the final 30 seconds to rally past David Taylor 7-6 in the U.S. Open freestyle finals on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Burroughs, an Olympic gold medalist and two-time World champion, trailed 6-3 before staging his furious late-match rally to win at 74 kg/163 lbs.

Burroughs, 25, captured his third U.S. Open title.
