Mark Hall (Apple Valley, Minn./Minnesota Elite) has been named Wrestler of the Week.

Each week, will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.

Hall led the Minnesota Elite to the team title at the National Scholastic Duals on Saturday at Wabash College in Crawsfordsville, Ind.

Minnesota posted a 7-0 record in the two day event, defeating Illinois 30-23 in the championship match.

Hall shared the NWCA/USAW National Scholastic Duals Outstanding Wrestler Award with Indiana’s Chad Redd (120). Hall dominated the competition at 170 pounds. He recorded five falls and two technical falls in Indiana.

Hall has enjoyed an abundance of success in USA Wrestling age-group events. He captured a prestigious USA Wrestling Triple Crown in the Cadet division in 2013.

Hall, a high school sophomore, won his fourth Minnesota state title for Apple Valley High School earlier this year.
