USA Weightlifting Staffing Restructure

USA Weightlifting has implemented a reorganization effective immediately under the new leadership of Phil Andrews, with the support of the USA Weightlifting Board of Directors. The re-organization will allow all divisions of the organization to align accordingly focusing on the mission of the organization.

Carissa Gump has accepted the position of Associate Executive Director of Business and Development on a permanent basis overseeing Membership, Marketing, Sponsorship, Development, Social Media and Communications. Gump is a 2008 Olympian in the sport of Weightlifting and has been with the National Office serving as the Marketing & Sponsorship Manager and Director of Corporate Services since July of 2011.

Michael Conroy has accepted the position of Associate Executive Director of Sport on an interim basis while we hire new staff into the organization overseeing High Performance, Coaching Education and Events. Michael Conroy has been with the National Office serving as the Coaching Education Director since June of 2012.

Sandra Bowen has accepted the position of Finance Manager, and Laurie Lopez has accepted the position of Programs & Athlete Services Director overseeing direct athlete support, logistics and related matters.

USA Weightlifting would like to recognize all staff members for their dedication and service to the organization during this time of transition.
