2014 Beach HP Tryouts
2014 USAV Beach Women’s HP Tryout Camps (athletes born 1989-95 only)
USAV Beach has announced and completed the new USAV Beach Women’s High Performance Tryout Camps on Jan. 2-5 in Chula Vista, Calif., and Clearwater Beach, Fla. Open to all Junior (U21), Novice (U23) and University (U26) athletes born 1989-95, the USAV Beach Women’s High Performance Tryout Camp (WBHPTC) was designed to identify female athletes early in the year who will be invited to participate at our Transition Week Camp (May 12-18 in Hermosa Beach, Calif.) and ultimately our various Junior Beach National Team programs. The WBHPTC used 2014 FIVB/USAV Beach High Performance Age-Group Classifications.
2014 USAV Beach High Performance Tryouts (athletes born 1989-2003)
All athletes are required to try out for USA Junior Beach National Team programs on an annual basis regardless of participation in past programs or teams.
It is recommended that athletes try out as early as possible to get the maximum time to prepare should they be invited to Transition Week or another USA Junior Beach National Team program.
Tryouts are open to U.S. citizens born between 1989 and 2003. Entry into USAV Beach High Performance (BHP) programs is based upon selection at one of several USAV Beach High Performance Tryouts. Participants must have a current USAV membership (available online or through your local region) and be U.S. citizens. A membership link will be sent to those who are not verified as current USAV members. Tryouts will be led by USA Volleyball Beach CAP certified coaches. Our coaches have experience at the highest level of the beach game.
New in 2014: A new age group is being added to our Beach High Performance Programs. Future Stars (U13) is design for our female U.S. citizens athletes born 2002 and 2003.
Athletes will receive a written evaluation and do not need to sign up with a partner. Athletes may attend multiple tryouts, but are not required to do so. Registration is online only. Walk-up payments ($100) will only be accepted via check payable to USA Volleyball.

For U26 athletes: In order to be eligible for the World University Championship, athletes must submit an official copy of their university transcripts showing current enrollment in at least one course or a degree dated Jan. 1, 2013 or later.
For NCAA student-athletes: The Beach High Performance Tryouts are USAV-sanctioned Beach National Team tryouts in compliance with NCAA regulations. Your institution may be permitted to pay for your tryout and related travel. Refer questions to your institution’s compliance counselor who may call the NCAA membership services interpretation hotline with questions. NCAA athletes are required to inform their head coach that they are attending the tryouts in advance. If selected for a National Team or High Performance competition, NCAA athletes must receive required clearance from their university’s athletic department no fewer than 45 days prior to departure if the event conflicts with any academic or athletic dates. Athletes who are attending the tryouts for training purposes only and are unable to attend a championship event if selected, should make this known upon registration. For more information on USA Beach High Performance Tryouts contact USAV Beach Programs: BeachHP@usav.org- 200 Pier Ave., Suite 134, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254 Phone: (310) 975-3030 Fax: (310) 376-7300
