Guatemala Head Coach David Aldana: “This tournament is the first step in our preparation for the Central American Games. We have six players from the Under 23 Team, and this is their first experience playing at this level.”
Guatemala Captain Diana Arias: “I am very happy. I think we have a good team. We didn’t achieve our goal. We have to train more and be better at everything. I am very happy for our team winning third place, but we want to work more and harder.”
Honduras Head Coach Marcos Tejada: "It was a tough game. Today we played our best, but we lacked some concentration at the end of the match. We had it ... we had it in our hands, but we could not accomplish getting the win. There is still work to do at home to get better and to be able to finish off matches."
Honduras Captain Estela Duron: "The problem we have is that we cannot complete and close our matches when we are winning. We tend to lose concentration at the end and we do not know how to manage the pressure. We will remember this loss and hopefully learn from the experience."
