U.S. Beach Teams Sweep NORCECA Golds
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 27, 2014) – U.S. beach volleyball teams swept the gold medals along with winning one silver and one bronze on Sunday at the NORCECA Continental Tour event in Grand Cayman Island.

The U.S. men’s team of Todd Rogers (Santa Barbara, Calif.) and Theo Brunner (Ridgefield, Conn.) defeated their teammates Will Montgomery (Santa Barbara, Calif.) and Stafford Slick (Andover, Minn.) in the men’s gold medal match, 21-12, 21-17.

The U.S. women’s team of Tealle Hunkus (Girard, Ohio) and Kim (McGiven) Dicello (San Diego) came back from a first-set loss to defeat Canada’s Claudia Seguin and Brandie Wilkerson, 21-23, 21-10, 15-9 to win the women’s gold medal.
In the women’s bronze-medal match, Christal Engle (Pallyup, Wash.) and Heather Hughes (Fallbrook, Calif.) beat Mexico’s Vanessa Virgen and Paulette Cruz, 21-19, 21-9.
