COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 12, 2013) – The U.S. women’s beach volleyball team of Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross along with the men’s team of Phil Dalhausser and Casey Jennings have advanced to the gold medal matches of the FIVB Sao Paulo Grand Slam.

The gold medal matches will be played on Sunday morning.
The women’s final will see Walsh Jennings (Saratoga, Calif.), who is married to Casey Jennings, and Ross (Costa Mesa, Calif.), seeded No. 10 in the main draw, play Germany’s No. 5 Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst.
“I am so excited to be back in action on the FIVB World Tour and to have my husband (Casey Jennings) makes this week even more special to me and my family,” Walsh Jennings said after play on Thursday in an FIVB press release.
In the men’s final, No. 18 Dalhausser (Ormond Beach, Fla.) and Jennings (Las Vegas) will play Brazil’s No. 2 Pedro Solberg Salgado and Bruno Oscar Schmidt.
Walsh Jennings and Ross advanced on Saturday with an 18-21, 21-15, 15-13 victory in 51 minutes over Italy’s No. 21 Marta Menegatti and Viktoria Orsi Toth.
Dalhausser and Jennings took a 21-18, 21-19 semifinal victory in 43 minutes over Spain’s Pablo Herrera and Adrián Gavira.
