The U.S. Men (3-0), who have not lost a set in the tournament, will play Mexico (0-3) in the tournament semifinals on Friday (April 19) at 7 p.m. CT.

Rejy Bacchus (Bryan, Texas) led the U.S. scoring effort with 15 points on 11 kills, two blocks and two aces. Dan Regan (St. Louis, Mo.) added 12 points on eight kills, three blocks and one ace.

“The team played their most consistent match tonight excelling in all facets of the game,” said U.S. Head Coach Bill Hamiter (Bethany, Okla.), who played in the match to replace Eric Duda (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), who had to leave the team due to professional obligations in the United States.

Edgar Laforest (San Juan, Puerto Rico) will join the team for Friday's semifinal match.

"It's always fun to win a match against the home team especially when you play as well as we did tonight," Regan said.

Hamiter started J.Dee Marinko (Newcastle, Okla.) at setter/outside hitter, Charlie Swearingen (Gulfport, Miss.) and Regan at middle hitter and Thomas Davis (Detroit, Mich.) and Bacchus as right side hitters.

The U.S. Men’s Sitting Volleyball Team is honoring the victims who were killed or injured at the Boston Marathon by wearing black bands on their uniforms near their hearts and flags.
