COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 12, 2013) – The Spring 2013 issue of VolleyballUSA, the official magazine of USA Volleyball, will start to reach subscriber mailboxes beginning April 15 with topics including the cover story on April Ross preparing for an Olympic encore season, the beach volleyball season preview and more.
The issue is now also available digitally to subscribers and via the iTunes App Store using the username and password found on the print version’s mailing label. To access the digital issue via the Internet, click here.
To access the free Apple app for iPad or iPhone users, click here and use the print edition’s username located in the mailing label in place of the box for email address. The password remains the same for both Internet and Apple app versions.
The Spring 2013 issue, which includes 64 pages for the printed edition with eight additional digital-only pages, includes articles with tips on better reading the middle attack, how Jane Ward helped change the women’s game, a college freshman’s transition to sand and a continuation of last issue’s article on keeping your shoulder healthy and strong.
Other article features include two-time U.S. Olympian Todd Rogers being interviewed by two high school beach volleyball players, a one-on-one conversation with 2012 Olympic Games silver medalist Christa Harmotto, introduction the newest U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team coaching staff, the blending of new faces with veterans on the U.S. Women’s Sitting Volleyball Team, legendary figures who will be honored at the 2013 Boyce Banquet, the groundbreaking move for past U.S. Men’s National Volleyball Team coach Gary Sato.
Among the recurring content includes Karch Kiraly’s blog, nutrition tips, debut of the “Ask an Olympian” section where Facebook fans pose questions to U.S. Olympians, the On the Radar section highlighting USA Volleyball High Performance pipeline athletes, a CAP II article on using video and still photography as coaching tools and USA Volleyball CEO Doug Beal’s column that focus this issue on High Performance isn’t all about the Olympics.
The supplemental digital issue, which is available to current print subscribers via the Internet or Apple app, offers highlights John Speraw accepting the U.S. Men’s National Volleyball Team head coach position with video from his introductory press conference, the U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team hosting the 2013 NORCECA Women’s Continental Championship, information on the upcoming 2013 FIVB World League and a pictorial of the 2013 collegiate beach volleyball season.
