USA Volleyball’s Magazine Arriving in Mailboxes

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 15, 2012) – The Fall 2012 issue of VolleyballUSA, the official magazine of USA Volleyball, will reach subscriber mailboxes by the end of this week with contents ranging from Olympic Games and Paralympic Games to USA Volleyball Junior National Championships recaps with focuses on volleyball, beach volleyball and sitting volleyball.
The issue is now also available digitally to subscribers and via the iTunes App Store using the username and password found on the print version’s mailing label. To access the digital issue via the Internet, visit content.yudu.com/A1yzq3/USAVollyballFall2012/resources/index.htm.
To access the free Apple app for iPad or iPhone users, visit http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/volleyballusa-official-magazine/id509520322 and use the print edition’s username located in the mailing label in place of the box for email address. The password remains the same for both Internet and Apple app versions.
The Fall 2012 issue, an expanded 72 pages for the printed edition with 16 digital-only pages, serves as a 2012 Olympic Games review with 19 pages devoted to U.S. Olympic/Paralympic Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Teams competing in London. In addition, the issue contains 10 pages covering the USA Volleyball Girls’ and Boys’ Junior National Championships. USA Volleyball Chief Executive Officer Doug Beal uses his CEO Message column to discuss the future of professional indoor volleyball in the United States.
Further, the issue contains educational elements with five players and coaches offering tips on becoming a better passing, along with a CAP II article on the value of USA Volleyball’s Coaching Accreditation Program’s IMPACT course. Other article features include the hiring of Karch Kiraly as the new U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team head coach, a conversation with U.S. Men’s Junior National Volleyball Team outside hitter Ben Patch, the decision by Summer Ross to turn pro, USAV Beach High Performance Championship results, the junior journal by columnist Emily Podschweit, expansion of the USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships, extended interviews with 2012 Olympians Kerri Walsh, Foluke Akinradewo and Jen Kessy, nutrition tips and the On the Radar section highlighting USA Volleyball High Performance pipeline athletes.
The supplemental digital issue, which is available to current print subscribers, offers expanded coverage of the Olympics and Paralympics, USA Volleyball Girls’ and Boys’ Junior National Championships, 30-minute video press conference with Karch Kiraly and photos and results of the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships.
