COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 4, 2012) – The U.S. Men’s National Indoor Volleyball Team will hold an intra-squad, Red versus Blue scrimmage at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 4 at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, Calif.
The team will use the scrimmage to help prepare for the NORCECA Men’s Continental Olympic Qualification Tournament, which will be held on May 7-12 at the Pyramid.
“This will be a final warm-up for our team before it competes at the NORCECA Men’s Olympic Qualifier,” said U.S. Men’s Head Coach Alan Knipe (Huntington Beach, Calif.). “We invite volleyball fans to share in our preparation for a very important tournament.”
Players and coaches will be available for autographs after the match.
Tickets will only be available at the door and will be $8 for adults and $5 for seniors (60-plus) and youth (4-14).
The Blue versus Red scrimmage offers volleyball fans one more way to watch the U.S. Men’s National Indoor Volleyball Team play live in the United States this summer.
On April 27 and 29, the U.S. Men will host Argentina for two exhibition matches at JSerra Catholic High School. For more information, click here.

The United States Olympic Committee and the NBC Sports Group have announced that the finals of the Olympic Qualification Tournament will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network on May 13 at 3-5 p.m. ET.
