COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Aug. 4, 2010) – The U.S. Men’s Volleyball Team is back at its training headquarters at the American Sports Centers in Anaheim, Calif., and preparing for the 2010 FIVB World Championship, which begins Sept. 25 in Italy.

The U.S. Men will open in Reggio Calabria and will play Mexico (Sept. 25), Venezuela (Sept. 26) and Argentina (Sept. 27).

After finishing eighth overall in World League the U.S. Men saw their FIVB world ranking slip from second to third behind first-place Brazil and second-place Russia, who finished first and second in the World League final round. Serbia (fourth) and Italy (fifth) round out the top five.

MILLAR FAMILY INCREASES BY ONE

U.S. middle blocker Ryan Millar (Alpine, Utah) and wife Suzanne welcomed son Oliver Walsh Millar to the family on June 30. The Millars also have a son named Max who was born in 2006.
