U.S. Men to Play Puerto Rico in NORCECA Semis

ANAHEIM, Calif. (Oct. 16, 2009) - The U.S. Men's National Volleyball Team will face Puerto Rico at 5 p.m. PDT today in the semifinals of the NORCECA Continental Championship in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

The match will be available for viewing online at www.mediasports.tv/portal/ (you may have to pay for this service).

Puerto Rico swept Mexico, 25-15, 25-17, 25-20 in Thursday's quarterfinals. Ivan Perez came off the bench and led Puerto Rico with 13 points and Hector Soto and Jose Rivera added 12 apiece.

Cuba will play Canada in tonight's other semifinal match. Canada defeated Dominican Republic on Thursday, 21-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 15-13.

The tournament will conclude on Saturday (Oct. 17) with final placement and medal matches.
