COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (June 23, 2009) – Teams from Colorado Springs dominated the 2009 Mountain Open, held June 20 in Vail, Colo.

The tournament is part of the USA Beach Volleyball Junior Tour, a series of beach volleyball events held around the country. Age divisions range from under-12 to under-20.

Stormy weather caused the cancellation of some third-place matches.

Hannah Huffman (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Jenae Vander Ploeg (Colorado Springs, Colo.) took top honors in the Girls’ U-16 Division.
