ANAHEIM, Calif. (July 19, 2009) – The U.S. Men’s National Volleyball Team will compete in Pool E with Russia and Serbia in the final round of FIVB World League, July 22-26 in Belgrade, Serbia.

The FIVB announced the final round pairings on Sunday. Argentina, Brazil and Cuba will make up Pool F. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the semifinals on Saturday. The medal matches will be played on Sunday.

The United States, Serbia, Cuba and Brazil all advanced to the final round as pool winners. Because Serbia is the host country, Argentina, the second-place team from its pool, also advanced. Russia, which finished second to Cuba in Pool C, advanced as the wild card team with the next-best point total.

The U.S. Men’s Team is the defending World League champion.
