“This tournament was a good preparation for the next phase of the World Championship Qualification Tournament in Mexico,” Trinidad & Tobago Head Coach Nicholson Drakes said. “We have a lot more work to do. The players know exactly what to do to be successful in that tournament. I am happy with the performance our team, and I hope to improve going into the next tournament.”
“We didn’t have the consistency during today’s match,” Guatemala captain Aneliesse Burmester said. “We have several new players competing at this level and they looked lost at times.”
“This was a high-level tournament and I am hoping this will serve as motivation for our young team to improve their,” Guatemala Head Coach Julio Dominguez said. “This was the first time for us to play together, and this will surely help train and improve Guatemala volleyball. I want to congratulate USA Volleyball for hosting this event. U.S. shows once again a successful job in logistics and hosting events like this.”
