COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 29, 2009) – USA Volleyball High Performance Department is pleased to announce the release of its girls’ tryout results for 2009.

On April 29, the USA Volleyball High Performance Girls’ Youth results will be posted followed by the Women’s Junior tryout results on April 30 and Girls’ Select tryout results on May 6. Confirmation deadline for all Youth programs is May 7, and named rosters will soon follow.

The USA Volleyball High Performance Department would like to thanks everyone involved in the successful tryout season, both participants and volunteers alike. It conducted 32 tryouts for more than 2,600 participants. USA Volleyball High Performance is prepared to train 1,100+ female athletes through its five tiers of training programs ranging from the two National Teams (Girls’ Youth and Women’s Junior) competing at FIVB World Championships to the various five-day on-court camps.

“Our pipeline is strong, our players are training the right way and our coaches are the best in the world - bar none,” USA Volleyball Chief Executive Officer Doug Beal said. “For the very same reason, our young volleyball players should be confident in the skills they are being taught and the style of game they are playing.”

USAV High Performance anticipates elevated program participation in 2009 and encourages everyone to register early to guarantee choice of program.

Go to the High Performance Tryout page for result postings http://usavolleyball.org/content/index/2815.

To find your code more easily, press and hold “Ctrl” and “F” on your keyboard at the same time. This brings up the find tool, which will search the entire webpage for any value entered. Be sure to use the next feature to determine if your code is listed more than once. If so contact HP at indoorhp@usav.org for clarification on program invitation.

A reminder on how to read the 8-digit code: The first two numbers consist of the athlete’s month of birth; digits 3 & 4 are day of the month; and the final four are the pin number provided with the tryout registration. EXAMPLE: An athlete born May 11 with the pin # of “4321” would have the 8-digit code of 05114321. If you did not provide pin # the code will end in "XXXX". EXAMPLE: An athlete born May 11 without providing their SSN#/pin# will be 0511XXXX.

If you cannot locate your 8-digit number in any of these categories, please contact indoorhp@usav.org.
