COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 25, 2008) - USA Volleyball will host its Sixth Annual High Performance Coaches Clinic Jan. 22-24, 2009, at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The 2009 USA Volleyball High Performance Coaches Clinic costs $400, which includes instruction, material and room and board at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. In conjunction with the USA Volleyball High Performance Coaches Clinic, the USAV Coaching Accreditation Program (CAP) will have additional modules available at the U.S. Olympic Training Center on Jan. 21 and Jan. 25, 2009.
Clinic registration opens Nov. 25, 2008, and can be accessed online by clicking here. Registration will be closed once it has reached capacity.
The clinic will feature members of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Men's and Women's Team staffs that brought home a gold and silver at the 2008 Olympic Games. In addition, staffs from the 2008 U.S. Women's Junior National Team and the 2008 U.S. Girls' Youth National Team will make presentations.
The USA Volleyball High Performance Coaches Clinic will focus on what it takes to win, as well as technological enhancements to teaching and learning. Sessions will be designed to incorporate participant discussion in examining the decision-making process and the on-court execution to help create their own strategies and tactics for given situations.
Since 2004, the USA Volleyball High Performance Department has featured this clinic as a way to bring together great coaching minds to share the most current, pertinent and critical issues in the sport.
