COLORADO SPRING, Colo. (July 14, 2007) - The U.S. Women's Sitting Volleyball Team defeated Australia 3-0 (25-9, 25-3, 25-8) in its first match at the Shanghai Invitational on Saturday at the Shanghai Center for Disabled Persons in China.

Australia's sitting volleyball program is in its first year of existence and competed with a combination of disabled- and able-bodied athletes.

Nichole Millage led Team USA with 13 points on eight aces, four kills and one block. Kendra Lancaster scored 11 points on seven kills, three aces and one block
Katie Holloway added seven points on five kills and two blocks

Starting for the United States, in addition to Millage, Lancaster and Holloway were Lora Webster, Brenda Maymon, Tatiana Rivera and Kari Miller at libero.

The entire roster played, with Heather Erickson scoring five points on three kills, one ace and one block while SuGui Kriss contributed with two aces.
