Beach volleyball fans can both celebrate and participate in their sport when the FIVB Grand Slam and the World Series of Beach Volleyball converge on Long Beach, Calif., on July 22-28.
Top beach volleyball teams from the United States – including Kerri Walsh Jennings, Jennifer Kessy, April Ross, Phil Dalhausser, Sean Rosenthal, Todd Rogers and Jake Gibb – and around the world will be competing for prize money and FIVB ranking points at the FIVB Grand Slam.
The World Series of Beach Volleyball will feature the two top international teams facing off for the chance to compete in the World Series Cup Finals against the winner of a duel between the top two U.S. teams. The winners of each side compete for their country for the right to take home the World Series Cup. There are also tournaments for four- and six-man tournaments that anyone can enter.
In addition to volleyball, this will be one of the greatest beachside music events on the West Coast. Big name bands and DJs will grace the stadium and side stages daily.
General admission tickets are free. This is the first FIVB beach event that the United States has hosted in 10 years and support from Southern California fans is vital to the hosting of future events.
