Olympic Solidarity Camp and Partille Cup Action

The USA Women and Men Juniors National Teams are currently participating at the Olympic Solidarity Training Camp as well as world renown Partille Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden.

After four training sessions hosted by Swedish Club Savehof, the Women Junior National Team (WJNT) were ready for the Olympic Solidarity Cup. The WJNT went undefeated in Cup play, defeating England (31-12), Chile (22-17) and Zimbabwe (31-14).

The Men Juniors National Team (MJNT) were led by goalie and captain, Moritz Marx. Their hard work saw them claim victories over China (51-12) and England (16-15). The MJNT took on Chile in their third match, however the game was suspended due to a severe injury to one of the Chilean players. The coaching staff formed by Renata Costa, Luis Palencia and Julio Sainz decided to cancel the game to support the Chilean staff in such a difficult time. At the time of suspension, USA was leading Chile by a score of 12-7.

Additionally, the USA Junior National Teams took part in the Partille Cup. The WJNT played two exceptional games, defeating Belgium's X-treme team 11-8 before falling to Sweden's Kungalvs HK in an electrifying game 11-9. The MJNT opened Partille Cup play with a 19-11 loss against reigning champion, Sweden's Onnereds HK. They found their rhythm in their second game against Belgium's HC Kraainem, but fell to 0-2 in tournament play by a score of 12-9.

Both teams have one game remaining in the Partille Cup. The WJNT face host Savehof while the MJNT take on China.
