Tonight we play Bad Schwartau
Dropped a tough one last night. We played well for the first 15 minutes or so, then Luxembourg started playing a lopsided 4-2 and we couldn't beat it. Moral is still good, I think everybody was bummed about taking a loss. However, for most of us, it was our first official international game. The learning curve is huge for us right now; I think I can count on my hand the number of players on the squad who have more than four years experience. I feel bad for those select few but they have showed great patience with us new guys and have been great teachers on and off the court.
I spoke with Thomazz G. and J. Borchik last night and the only thing we’re disappointed in other than the loss was that we didn't play as physical as we would have liked to. That will change tonight.
Big day today; we have a boat ride around the moat that surrounds the town. I personally am pretty excited; I enjoy a good boat ride. G. and J. are also quite excited; they slept in their boat shoes last night preparing for the journey. We hope that the voyage ends better than the Titanic's maiden odyssey. Then we have some sort of chocolate tasting, a mitzpah if you will. I have no idea what it is but I'm down for whatever.
Tonight we play Bad Schwartau, big game. Off to practice for now, I will try to update again later today.
Peace, love and happiness from across the pond.
