USA Team Handball today announced the resignation of technical director Amir Haskic. Haskic was instrumental in establishing the structure and foundation of the new National Governing Body. Haskic, who lives in Salt Lake City, will continue at the helm of the Salt Lake Warriors handball club. "Amir deserves substantial credit for his efforts on behalf of handball in the United States," said Steve Pastorino, general manager of USA Team Handball. "Given his passion for the sport, I have no doubt that he will continue to be engaged in the development of the sport at a grass roots level for a long time." A search for a replacement will begin immediately.
