Attila Agoston has a successful handball and business career and he is also an active community member. He runs a travel business and an IT consulting company and has served as the President of the American-Hungarian Club of Colorado.
Agoston continuously strived to contribute to the advancement of the sport and the handball community in different ways. He served as the head coach of the U16 boy's youth USA National Team and the assistant coach of the U20 boy's USA National Team. Agoston also served as a site director and head coach of the USA Team Handball Futures/Top Prospect Programs in Denver from 2009-2011. He was selected the USATH Developmental Coach of the Year in 2012.
Agoston has been instrumental in the creation of the Denver Team handball (DTH) organization. As the coach of the DTH adult teams, he received several medals in the USATH Nationals. In 2010, he was selected the Volunteer Coach of the Year.
Moreover, Agoston served as a board member of the USA Team Handball Competition Committee and the Referee Committee from 2009-2010.
Agoston has an extensive physical education background. He majored in team handball and graduated from the Babes-Bolyai University. He earned his maters' degree in Sports Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.
Agoston's objective is to match skill sets with unique American culture and character traits to discover a handball methodology and style of play that can be implemented across the country.
