COACH IDENTIFICATION AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The mission of the Coaching Identification and Development Program is to develop USAT coaches at all levels through education, standardization and professionalization within a comprehensive coaching program in the pursuit of sustained international competitive excellence.

Coach Development
The development of athletes and coaches at any level requires systematic and simultaneous processes.  To achieve this, USA Taekwondo has developed a Coach Identification & Development Program (CIDP) that is athlete-centered, coach-driven, competency-based and performance-oriented.  To provide a clear pathway for athletes and coaches, USA Taekwondo has identified that an athlete and coach will progress along four phases of development.  These phases are identified as: 1) Introduction; 2) Developmental; 3) High Performance; and 4) World-Class.
