San Jose to Host 2014 USA Taekwondo National Championships
SAN JOSE, Calif.—USA Taekwondo is eager to begin the 2014 National Championships in San Jose. The event will take place from July 1-7 at the San Jose Convention Center.
More than 3,800 athletes and 700 coaches will participate, making the 2014 National Championships the largest taekwondo event in the world. Athletes of all classifications and belts in multiple divisions will compete in San Jose.
“We are very pleased with the number of participants at the 2014 National Championships,” USA Taekwondo CEO Bruce Harris said. “The continued large number of participants at our national events is encouraging, and it gives us a great opportunity to not only showcase the sport of taekwondo but also provide an opportunity to get new athletes in the Olympic pipeline so that we can field a team of our very best athletes to represent our country, and USA Taekwondo, in the Olympic Games.
“My sincere and heartfelt thanks go out to all parents, coaches, instructors, athletes and family supporters for helping to make the 2014 USA Taekwondo National Championships a success.”
